It seems that opera is making a comeback, and no longer for the “high falutin” blue-bloods. In the 2010 season of America’s Got Talent, there were several fantastic opera singers – the style is now being called opera crossover – and among them was Prince Poppycock. A showman, a designer, a choreographer, a concept-rich artist – the complete package and a singing sensation. Check out his performance on video in this post.
As with Jackie Evancho, if you have seen it you will want to see him again. If not, get in this post and check it out!
Judge Sharon Osbourne even dubbed him “the male Lady GaGa”. His strong voice, outlandish costumes and sheer creativity made him the superstar of the night, according to judge Piers Morgan.
Which do you prefer – the straight opera or the “pop-era”?
