This is the original composition and the way that the song was originally recorded. This song has gone through many changes in its arrangement, including the version that eventually released as the hit single. The consequent album and single were recorded after this initial promotional video and arrangement, after the “music publishing establishment” in the UK recognized Bowie as a serious talent.
This was in Bowie’s promotional film, Love You Till Tuesday, originally released in 1969 and re-released on DVD.
