This fountain pen from Luxury Watch Designer Caran D’Ache has amazing detail, with a rhodium-coated silver body, a balance wheel placed between two rubies under a sapphire dome and tiny tick marks embossed around the barrel. Two cages, one decorated with gear wheels and the other with the bridges that link them, are fitted over a transparent body that reveals the flowing ink. It also features a a piston pump with a ruby and sapphire crystal dome at the tip, and for a cool $19,000 it can be yours.

This fountain pen from Caran d’Ache, Maison de Haute Ecriture, won two trophies in its class in 2008: the Grand Stylographe Trophy 2008 and the Trophy for Design and Artistic creation. The company produced only 10 limited edition models with one piece made available for the Japanese market.
